Financials

100% of donations are invested for growth and earning as we build the endowment fund to support the Shepherd’s Home. Administrative costs have averaged 1% or less. The goal is to have the capacity to support the basic expenses to operate and maintain Shepherd’s Home.

How much is that?

The basic 2025 cost to maintain Shepherd’s Home is about $180,000 plus capital improvements. The basic cost will grow each year due to cost of living increases or increasing the capacity of the home.

Whenever grants and community fund raising are sufficient, then Foundation earnings are re-invested to further achieve the goal of reaching an estimated principal of $4.5M

Assuming earnings of 5% a year this graph illustrates that we could cover about 50% of the home basic costs today and depicts what is needed to fully cover future costs.
